Reparative Procedures
Before and after 350 grafts and scar repair to improve the aesthetic results from a prior performed scalp flap surgery.
Reparative Hair Transplant Before and After Photos
Result of hairline lowering surgery to repair frontal fibrosing alopecia.
In order to restore the elevated hairline that was the result of frontal fibrosing alopecia (FFA), this patient underwent hairline advancement surgery. This involved advancing her unaffected hairline forward, permitting the removal of the scarred frontal scalp. Because she had poor scalp mobility, in this case a balloon expander was used.
Before and after hair transplant repair.
Patient with unaesthetic hairline by prior transplant, underwent FUE removal of more than 1400 grafts. Note the essential absence of any visible scarring.
Hairline lowering surgery performed as a reparative procedure on a patient who was disappointed with the results of a hair transplant done elsewhere, so she underwent hairline lowering/forehead reduction surgery where the entire prior grafted area was removed and her own natural hairline was brought down and forward by almost one inch. She is shown before and 6 months after.
Before and after reparative procedure of 2,300 grafts. Patient had prior work done elsewhere, unhappy with the unnatural appearance of his hairline due to the placement of multi-haired grafts growing at a less than ideal perpendicular direction. He also desired better density up front as well as in the crown region. He underwent a procedure of 2,300 grafts, and is shown at 10 months. In addition, donor site scarring was reduced with the procedure that included the excision of scarring in the back of the head
Before and after one reparative procedure of 2,350 grafts.
Before and one week after hairline lowering surgery to repair prior transplants.
This patient underwent hair grafting to lower her hairline, but due to insufficient density chose to undergo hairline lowering surgery that permitted her original hairline to be brought lower and allowed for the removal of her entire prior transplanted area. She is shown one week after surgery.
Reparative Procedures
Before and after 450 grafts to conceal scarring and hair loss from prior brow lift.
Before and after one FUE procedure of 400 grafts to repair old donor site scar. The patient had prior hair transplant surgery performed elsewhere and was left with significant scarring. Dr. Epstein was able to transplant into this scar, using FUE grafts, and thus avoiding making another donor site scar.
Reparative Procedures
Before and after balloon tissue expansion to repair large scalp scar. This is a surgical procedure that Dr. Epstein can perform on select patients.
