As a double board-certified facial plastic and hair restoration surgeon, Dr. Epstein — the Founder and Director of the Foundation for Hair Restoration — works with Dr. Anthony Bared, a partner in the practice, and fellowship-trained in facial plastic surgery.
Our staff
Professionals committed to perfection
To help assure the very best results, the Foundation has a team of 15 full-time hair assistants, who average working with Dr. Epstein for over 12 years! These assistants that include two nurse practitoners and several registered nurses are professionals committed to perfection, caring, and kind. In our annual patient satisfaction surveys, patients rate their hair transplant experience to be a positive or extremely positive overall experience 97% of the time.
The FHR hair assistants each have specialized roles. Some are graft dissectors, working under the microscope to cut every graft. Some of the most experienced assistants with particular surgical skills are planters, intimately familiar with how Dr. Epstein distributes the one, two, and three hair grafts to achieve the most natural appearance. There is even a team of several assistants who work with Dr. Epstein on his eyebrow and beard transplants, delicate procedures in which Dr. Epstein specializes, all assuring patients the best results.

Jose Armas, SMP Expert and Hair Transplant Technician
A highly skilled hair restoration technician with over a decade of experience, he stands as one of Dr. Epstein’s top assistants, leveraging his extensive knowledge in hair transplants to refine and elevate his Scalp Micropigmentation techniques. His expertise has been honed through training under world-renowned SMP artists from Europe and New York, where he assimilated the best practices from each.
Diane Gonzalez, MSN, APRN, AGPCNP-BC, CWON
Diane is a Florida-licensed Advanced Practice Registered Nurse with over 15 years of healthcare experience. Specializing in dermatology and surgical nursing, Diane is skilled in the diagnosis and management of alopecia including hair restoration therapies and Platelet-Rich Plasma treatments. Diane is especially passionate about providing medical solutions to patients who are not candidates for hair transplantation. As a Surgical NP, Diane provides local anesthesia to patients undergoing hair transplants and monitors patients during the procedure to assure their safety and comfort. She holds board certifications in Adult-Gerontology Primary Care and Wound Care, complemented by expertise in patient education, biopsies, and post-operative care. Diane’s compassionate, evidence-based approach ensures personalized care for every patient.
Andrea Antelo MSN, APRN, FNP-BC
Andrea Antelo is a board-certified family nurse practitioner specializing in facial plastic surgery, aesthetics and hair loss. Mrs. Antelo received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Barry University in 2014 and her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Miami in 2018. Prior to receiving her master’s degree, Andrea worked in the pediatric intensive care unit and at urgent care, which she credits for giving her the tools she now uses daily to establish patient rapport and build trust with her patients and their families. Andrea has been with the practice since 2018 and currently serves as the Head Nurse Practitioner and Operating Room Manager for Dr. Jeffrey Epstein and Dr. Anthony Bared. Under their guidance, Andrea has successfully provided medical therapy plans to patients worldwide. Andrea believes in treating the patient as a whole– combining science, nutrition, genetics and lifestyle to establish treatment plans to deliver care, hope and confidence to her patients. One of her roles is administering local anesthesia and performing nerve blocks during hair restoration procedures, allowing her to perfect her technique for a truly painless experience for patients. This same technique can be used during minor procedures such as biopsies, PRP and injectables. She also has a keen interest in skin care, wellness and facial rejuvenation, which is reflected in her passion for helping her patients look and feel their best. When she is not working, she is a loving wife and mother to two precious little boys.

Our team of OR staff helps put patients at ease and ensures a great experience. In addition, with a full-time anesthetist, patients are offered, if they choose, twilight sedation for the procedure.

An overwhelming majority of our patients achieve outstanding rates of hair regrowth. With that said, in the area of medicine results are not fully predictable- this is true in hair transplantation as well. By adhering to the very highest standards, our typical FUE cases achieve hair growth of 90% plus, results that meet if not exceed FUT results and that match or exceed the leaders in this profession. Plus, the tiny dot scars of FUE are undetectable in over 70% of patients even with the head shaved.
