Before and after complete hairline excision to repair prior transplants
This patient had significant scarring from prior poor grafting as can be shown in the frontal closeup. In order to fully repair this situation, he underwent a complete hairline excision, whereby the original nontransplanted hairline was advanced forward allowing for the removal of the scarred skin with prior transplants, resulting in a fine-line scar that will at some point be grafted to soften it. The removed grafts were dissected out from the scar tissue and planted into the old donor site scars.
Reparative Before and After Photos
Before and one week after hairline lowering surgery to remove prior tattoo.
This reparative case involved performing hairline lowering surgery to remove a prior tattoo. By advancing the normal hair-bearing non-tattooed scalp, a much more natural appearance could be attained.
Before and after 450 FUE grafts plus 200 FUE punch reductions.
This patient had a very limited donor supply, and desired a more natural appearance. He underwent two procedures, the first involving the reduction in size of 200 of the prior plug grafts, followed 3 months later by a grafting procedure of 450 FUE grafts.
After hairline lowering to excise entire prior transplanted hairline.
This hairline lowering/forehead reduction surgery was performed to significantly improve the density from two prior transplant procedures done elsewhere that did not provide sufficient density. By advancing her original hairline, the patient's entire grafted area could be removed, including the scarred skin, and her new hairline brought forward.
Before and 10 months after reparative procedure using over 2500 scalp, chest, and beard hairs to restore a much more natural appearance.
Before and after scalp micropigmentation (SMP) to an old donor site strip scar.
Before, one day after, and four months after FUE removal of over 800 beard grafts that were implanted at an improper angle and contained three or more hairs.
Before, immediately after, and three months after partial hairline excision to repair the scarring and unnatural appearance caused by prior hair transplant. Note that another surgeon attempted to do some FUE removals which was insufficient. This goes under hairline excision
Before and 5 months after FUE removal of 350 grafts total over two procedures. The patient had a prior transplant elsewhere and was unhappy with the unnatural design and large grafts.
Before and after hairline lowering surgery to excise prior poorly performed transplanted hairline.
