Receding Hairline Treatment Options
Many visitors and prospective patients who visit our website and contact our office inquire about treatment for a receding hairline. While there may be no cure to stop a receding hairline, there are many treatments available to slow down the progression of hair loss or restore hair, especially to the hairline, in both male and female patients.
As an expert in receding hairline treatment, Dr. Epstein is able to employ all of the available and most advanced techniques for receding hairlines in both male and female patients who present as candidates for a procedure.
Particularly for male patients, male pattern baldness follows a pattern that begins with a receding hairline followed by hair thinning on the crown, resulting in shorter and finer hair, which is called “miniaturization”.
Typically, the hairline progressively recedes or moves backward, hence the term “receding hairline”. Female patients may also experience receding hairlines resulting from female pattern baldness and frontal thinning.
A receding hairline is a progressive condition that can affect men and women at any age and Dr. Epstein, with his team, is an expert in providing state-of-the-art techniques for patients looking for the most aesthetic highest quality work.
*Each patient is unique and individual results may vary.
Treatment for receding hairline is diagnosed on a case-by-case basis during consultation with Dr. Epstein and his patient advisors. Prior to an in-office consultation, prospective patients can use the consultation form accessible on this website, to e-mail photos for evaluation. An individualized treatment plan is then developed together to determine the best procedure type, if applicable, to achieve the most natural and desirable results. Treatment for the receding hairline can include hair transplants, medication, and low-level laser light therapy.
Recognized as one of the top leaders in the fields of hair transplantation and receding hairline treatment, Dr. Jeffrey Epstein has provided unsurpassed care and the most natural results to patients from throughout the United States and the world for over eighteen years.

Dear Dr. Epstein, Here is an update for hair transplant surgery I had in November, 2007. I am pleased to report that the sideburns are completely grown in and growing at a normal rate; all scars are covered. The temporal areas are perfect and so natural looking. The frontal hairline is growing but at a slower rate and with some itching. Overall, I am thrilled to have a hairline that is such an improvement over the unnatural one I started with. When I see Dr. Ridenour in Creve Couer, MO in May I will ask him to forward some updated photos for you. A big thank you to you and your staff for my great new hairline. I will be wearing my hair back at the beach this summer and not hiding under a hat!
It is important that our patients consult with Dr. Epstein before deciding if a hair restoration procedure is the best option for receding hairline treatment.
While a personal consultation with Dr. Epstein (Miami, NYC) or one of the other FHR surgeons in different cities is invaluable, your entire procedure can be planned without meeting the surgeon in person – rather by sending photographs along with information about yourself including your goals.
