Dear Roxy
I have arrived safely back in England although I am wishing I stayed longer in Miami as I believe you had a wonderful sunny weekend! Nevertheless I did enjoy one day of sunshine before I returned to cloudy cold England at least.
I hope you and Dr Epstein had a pleasant trip to New York.
I would like to thank Dr Epstein, yourself and the wonderful staff in your department. I was treated extremely well from start to finish and felt very comfortable. Unfortunately I cannot remember all of the names but I was very impressed with their professionalism but especially by their friendliness and good humour. I only wished I could speak Spanish!
I read the testimonials on the website before I decided on going ahead with the treatment and they are unanimous in their praise. Now I understand now that it is for good reason.
After the first night which was a little uncomfortable, my scalp has settled very quickly.
By day four i.e. yesterday, the scabs were already starting to shed with some transplanted hairs, although I understand that is to be expected I have been very gently rubbing the scabs which have very readily shed without causing discomfort or bleeding. I hope that I have not been doing this a little prematurely because on reading the advice sheet it is recommended to rub the scalp perhaps on day 5 or later
Perhaps you could check with Dr Epstein in case he feels this would cause any problems
I intend to get a colleague to remove the sutures on day 10. I believe there is a continuous prolene suture closing the donor site. Can I ask what the best method for removal of the suture would be. Is it cutting the distal ends and pulling the suture out as a single strip or cutting it at different points
Perhaps it would be better to ring and talk to one of the technicians for such advice
Anyway, thank you very much again and please send on my regards and best wishes to Dr Epstein
Best wishes,
