Question:
Is PRP effective for women with androgenetic hair loss? It sounds promising for men. Is there any reason it would not work for women?
Answer:
Yes PRP would be as effective for women as men with genetic hair loss. However, it is still unproven and the verdict is still out as to whether or not PRP is going to have a significant place in the field of hair restoration surgery. Already, PRP is showing signs of improving wound healing, minimizing shock loss of existing hair and creating stronger hair growth of the original hair. Beyond that, at this point, we do not know what other benefits PRP will have in hair restoration. However, I do feel that there will be equal advantage for both females and males.
