Reparative Before and After Photos
Before and one year after 1600 chest hair grafts to the scalp as a reparative procedure. These BHT (body hair transplant) procedures allow for chest and or beard and or back hairs to be transplanted to the scalp. Note the minimal scarring of the chest donor area.
Before and one day after FUE removal of 580 prior transplants.
Patient underwent a hair transplant in Norway and was unhappy with the unnatural appearance. To repair his prior work, all 580 of the prior placed grafts were removed one at a time (and replanted into the donor area in the back of his scalp. At just one day after surgery, his hairline area is nearly healed.
Hairline lowering surgery performed as a reparative procedure on a patient who was disappointed with the results of a hair transplant done elsewhere, so she underwent hairline lowering/forehead reduction surgery where the entire prior grafted area was removed and her own natural hairline was brought down and forward by almost one inch. She is shown before and three weeks after.
Before and after excision of the entire frontal 6 rows of prior placed plug grafts, achieved through balloon tissue expansion. This is a very challenging case, in where Dr. Epstein placed three balloon tissue expanders to stretch out the normal scalp and forehead skin, permitting then the excision of a wide strip of scarred scalp and the subsequent dramatic improvement.
29 year old, underwent multiple prior procedures of unaesthetic minigrafts (containing two to five hairs) from 22 to 26 years of age. Was very disappointed with the poor direction of grafts, the significant scarring, and the overall unnatural appearance, that were not improved by another surgeon who attempted a repair by doing further grafting. Dr. Epstein performed a reparative procedure, using the technique of FUE punch removal, able to extract approximately 400 of the hairline grafts in a single procedure, which were then dissected down then replanted in a more natural direction and pattern. Shown is the result before and eight months after his procedure.
Before and after plastic surgery scar repair for an old donor site scar done elsewhere by strip. The scar was excised then the area closed in a plastic surgery fashion, resulting in a narrower scar that if desired can undergo transplants.
