Hair transplant prices are dependent upon several factors and can vary greatly. Factors such as the particular technique, the number of grafts and the number of sessions can all effect the hair transplant price. In order to quote an accurate figure, an individual consultation is necessary.
Both the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) and the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) have statistics for the national average surgeon/physician fees for the year 2005. The ASPS lists the average hair transplant price as price as $4,755 while the ASAPS lists the average hair transplant price as $5,033. It's important to note, however, that these are surgeon/physician fees and do not include the costs of anesthesia, the facility and other related expenses.
