Combination Procedures - combining hair transplants with plastic surgery |
 |
Because most of the FHRPS doctors are board certified in not only hair transplantation but also plastic or facial plastic surgery, some patients choose to have additional cosmetic work done at the same time as a hair transplant. Some of these procedures include: blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery to remove fat bags and excess skin), liposuction of the neck and other areas of the body, rhinoplasty, otoplasty (ear pinning back), and neck and/or face lift procedures. Sometimes these additional cosmetic procedures require a deeper form of anesthesia called twilight sleep, in which case the entire hair transplant similarly is performed under this deeper sedation. Below are some examples of patients who took advantage of having simultaneous procedures performed.
