I couldn't be more pleased with the results and would be more than happy to be a verbal reference for or meet with (if they are local and want to see the end product) any of your prospective clients.

I asked to talk to several patients before I made my decision. Really wanted to see one in person, but the only local evidently was a little secretive about his procedure. Thanks again.

Dear Dr. Epstein,

Its coming up on my one year anniversary since my procedure and Im not wanted you recognize that by reaching out to you and thinking you for the beautiful work you did on my eyebrow, and to let you know that my life has improved so much because of your help. The procedure is a miracle, and every day I wake up and look in the mirror and remember that. I also remember how grateful I am that you could help me. You are an amazing doctor and artist. Your work is truly PRICELESS!

Thank you again so much

Sincerely

Kate Welsh

Dear Doctor Epstein,

Having arrived back in Manchester England yesterday morning following my
2000-graft hair transplant procedure at your Miami office on Friday 17th
December 2004, I wanted to put on public record my sincere thanks to you
and your staff for your hospitality before and during my visit.

Thanks to Roxy and Lena for their warmth and attention to detail in making
my visit arrangements. Thanks to your whole team for their relaxed,
courteous and friendly professionalism throughout the day of my surgery.
Special thanks on the day to Cindy and Peggy for their superb nursing care,
and to Carlos, Linda and Carey for their meticulous work on the procedure.
I am deeply grateful to all who were involved in the surgery, all of whom
helped to make a tough day pass really very pleasantly.

And thanks to you Dr E. Thank you for your personal attention to my
questions prior to me making a decision on surgery. Thank you for being so
approachable and sociable during my time with you. Thank you for the
personal gift to my youngest son (he is so excited in anticipation of
Christmas Day), and for your advice on sights to see in Miami. With your
guidance I enjoyed a very pleasant weekend in your wonderful city ahead of
my return to the UK.

Above all, I thank you for the look of wonderment on the faces of my wife
and boys when I revealed my new hairline upon my return home. They are
seeing a "new me", and already they sense the lifting of the weight that
has been on my shoulders for nearly 20 years in the aftermath of earlier,
less successful hair transplant surgery in the UK. I shall of course be
sending you photos of the finished result in the New Year, and I stand
willing and ready to be your primary point of reference for other
prospective patients in the UK should you wish to refer anyone to me for
reassurance or testimonial.

Wishing you all a very happy holiday, and continued good health and success
in the coming year.

Yours in gratitude and friendship,

Neil N

Hey Dr.

Its been a long time since we contacted you. My twin brother and I came in april of 2001 and had procedure done. Which turned out really really good. we might make another appointment next year sometime. We just wanted to touch basis and thank you for the good job you did. You made our lives better.

later,

Andy and Randy

p.s. what are your rates now so we can start saving.
Please email me the information and not send
it ground mail. We had changed addresses.

Thanks Dr. E

It is looking wonderful already. No swelling, and healing nicely. Scabs are almost gone, although some of the scabs had hair, I believe that is ormal, Right? hair will grow again from the graft?

Thanks for the wonderful work you and your team have performed. The small incisions, nice healing and total overall look are what distiguish great doctors from mediocre ones.

Best regards

Najib

Roxy

Im fine my hair looks great and there's nobody who can tell and noboday
has even got close to guessing - the difference is amazing I have to say
when I walked out of the office to go back to England I thought I had made a
mistake I went into work and had to use lots of hairspray and use lots
of that powder you gave me ( cant remember the name now ) on the back of my head to cover the suture marks - each day I had to spend 10 mins working hard to cover up the signs but I did a good job of it - it took six
weeks after my four week holiday for the effects of the hair trimming to grow
out but today it is not noticeable at all and I often laugh to myself about
how much I worried and how nobody noticed - or even got close to noticing
!!! And the hair on the top has grown through gradually and naturally - just great !

I have seen my mother for the first time in 12 months this Christmas -
she said " well at least I know that you're eating well - your hair looks so much thicker than before ! " " I just smiled and said something like
"the vitamin tablets must be kicking in !!!" . She said "which ones - I could
use some myself" ... I just smiled and said she did'nt need any !

Its just so good to feel hair where it was starting to go thin - I am
really pleased Roxy - pass my best wishes on to Dr Epstein

Have a great new year!
R

ps - dont forget that i want to keep this a secret !

Thanks Dr Epstein, you have been really great over this via of communication (email) - Thanks very much for your patience and time - it's really a difference (If I compare my experience with other Doctors I have contacted... They usually don't have the time!...  and they are some kind of superior beings!! --) Thanks again Doc..

Hi Dr Epstein,

I was out of town last week so I just got your office's voice mail to my home phone.

A belated Happy New Year to you and all your staff!

I feel so much better looking at my hair in the mirror nowadays. Seeing the bald areas being gradually covered over by new grown hair and the improving image of "years brought back" gives me so much satisfaction. I know with the coming months it will only get better!

A wholehearted thank you to you and your team for giving me my new look and I sincerely wish you all greater success and happiness in the new year and beyond.

Jake

It works!  And I couldn't be more pleased and amazed at the results.  Although I was thrilled with my new look immediately, within weeks I did lose what seemed like all of my little sprouts.  I wasn't fully prepared for that, and I began to wonder if maybe for me it wasn't going to work.  But...in September just like magic, every single implant began to sprout and grow, and today my guess is that 100% of them are alive and well - each now being about 2" long and growing.  I remember in my consultation with Dr. Epstein, I asked if there was any chance that it wouldn't work, and he smiled and simply stated "Oh, it works".  Well, he was right and I wish him all the success in both his practice and in creating the same magic for others.  Cynthia

Dr Epstein,

Thank you and your staff for all their time and effort. Everything seems to be going quite well, the healing processes went very smoothly, I will send photo's as soon as possible. I have just returned to Afghanistan and had a very enjoyable holiday. I wish you and your staff a very Happy New Year and thank you again for helping me regain my confidence.

Sincerely,

Ed

Dr. E,

All is going well and as I approach 3 months the propecia is doing well on my crown. Per our discussion prior to my HT, is it ok to stop using Rogaine at 3 months and if I do, will I lose any hair that has come in?

Thanks again for your work, the scar looks fantastic (per my wife) and while the hairline itself is slow coming in, the hair you placed behind it is coming in well.

Ed W

Hi Roxy,

I couldn't be better. Everything went better than I expected. The pain was less than a dentist visit. My friends couldn't even tell that I had the procedure a few days ago. Absolutely unbelievable. I am so thankful that I found Dr. Epstein. Thanks for everything,  Mike

Jeff:

I just wanted to share with you how well things are going.  I had dinner with a friend the other night I usually see 3-4x/year.  He is balder than I am (was?) and he said to me "what did you do to your hair?  It looks amazing. " Last week I saw my brother in law who is also follicularly challenged.  He said to me "How did you get your hair so thick, it looks amazing".  What is really great is that both of these  people thought my hair looked great and had no idea I had a HT.  The result is so natural I love it.  Thank you for your  expertise and excellent work.

Warm regards

David S

Hey Roxy... made it back to Orlando in one-piece.  Thank you again for all your help.  I am following up with a letter to Doc E. when I have a chance.  I am writing an account of my story on-line and Doc told me that I had 2210 grafts but I forgot to ask for the breakout.. 1's, 2's, etc.  If you guys keep that?  I just want to have a full accounting of what I had done.  Thanks again for everything!  You guys are first class!

Sincerely,

Rich-

Dear Doc, I just got back from my first hair cut and thought I would take a minute to say thanks. I could not have imagined the procedure going any better than it did. You and your staff did anything and everything to make my wife and I extremely comfortable; from the personal attention from you and your staff to the sushi for lunch, it was just perfect. I was extremely nervous about having the procedure and now after this wonderful experience, this next procedure will feel like a reunion with old friends.

Thanks again to you and to your tremendous staff .

Sincerely Joel L. M

Hi Roxy,

Do you guys have a nice roof I could use?

So I can yell off the top of my lungs that Dr. Epstein is the best surgeon in the world?

So far so good.  Have a wonderful day.  Please say hello to everyone.

Thank you.

Cecile

Dear Roxy, Hi Jeff from CT hoping all had a happy and safe holiday. Weather getting into 30's 10 more degrees and it's t shirt weather! Your office called  a couple of days ago, but I was out, sorry I missed you.  The chest hair is going very well and I am thrilled, growing quite long, it actually is growing up and  over my shirt collar!  I promise to get a photo out to you. I hope to see you all again soon for the next procedure. Now that I am a veteran please feel free to give my cell number to anyone who is considering the same procedure. 860-946-7034  Hugs to all and god bless.      Jeff

Dr. Epstein,
I've attached photos and so far I'm very pleased and thank you! When I was in the office I think you estimated my total available donor hair to be around 5300?  I think you also found out that the right side of my head is slightly less dense than my left. Since we used 1800 I'm guessing 3500? would be the total available for future use?  I'm going to send a follow on e-mail to clarify my thoughts on what might be possible.
Thanks, Gary

Jeff:

I have two consults lined up for you when you come to NY.  Let me know the dates you'll be up.  A dentist friend of mine and his son  suffer like I used to.

My hair is awesome.  I never thought it could look this good.  Every time I look in the mirror I can't believe how good the result is.   You're the best!!

Warm regards

David

Hi, Roxy.

This is Aaron from New Orleans.  I had a transplant to my face on December 26, 2003.  I apologize for not sending a picture sooner, but one is attached.  I am quite pleased with my transplant

With best regards,
Aaron

Dear Roxy

I have arrived safely back in England although I am wishing I stayed longer in Miami as I believe you had a wonderful sunny weekend! Nevertheless I did enjoy one day of sunshine before I returned to cloudy cold England at least.

I hope you and Dr Epstein had a pleasant trip to New York .

I would like to thank Dr Epstein, yourself and the wonderful staff in your department. I was treated extremely well from start to finish and felt very comfortable. Unfortunately I cannot remember all of the names but I was very impressed with their professionalism but especially by their friendliness and good humour.  I only wished I could speak Spanish!

I  read the testimonials on the website before I decided on going ahead with the treatment and they are unanimous in their praise. Now I understand now that it is for good reason.

After the first night which was a little uncomfortable, my scalp has settled very quickly.

By day four i.e. yesterday,  the scabs were already starting to shed with some transplanted hairs, although I understand that is to be expected? I have been very gently rubbing the scabs which have very readily shed without causing discomfort or bleeding. I hope that I have not been doing this a little prematurely because on reading the advice sheet it is recommended to rub the scalp perhaps on day 5 or later?

Perhaps you could check with Dr Epstein in case he feels this would cause any problems?

I intend to get a colleague to remove the sutures on day 10. I believe there is a continuous prolene suture closing the donor site. Can I ask what the best method for removal of the suture would be. Is it cutting the distal ends and pulling the suture out as a single strip or cutting it at different points?

Perhaps it would be better to ring and talk to one of the technicians for such advice?

Anyway, thank you very much again and please send on my regards and best wishes to Dr Epstein

best wishes

KM

Hi Laurie (this is a prospective patient considering a hairline advancement procedure) ,

I am 33 years old and fortunately never lost hair but was always very self-conscious about my rather large forehead.

This procedure has changed my life and the way I feel about myself in the most amazing ways.  Having a smaller forehead, and a more rounded forehead, has made me feel like I can have any kind of bad hair day and still feel comfortable with my face.  And I even feel like I'm no longer afraid to grow older.  The difference is amazing . To make a long story short, let me just tell you that if I had known about this 10 years ago, I would have done it!

I feel so beautiful no matter what my hair looks like and it's really a good feeling! I am forever grateful to Dr. Epstein and this is why I volunteered to help him reassure prospective patients about this procedure.  It's my way of thanking
him.

I know you probably have a lot more questions.  Please feel free to ask them and I will provide you with whatever information I can!Just remember, that I am only a patient and not a doctor so if you ask me questions that are too technical, I may not be able to answer, but I'll do my best.  I remember just about everything about this procedure since it was such a positive life-altering decision for me!

Looking forward to hearing from you again!

Sincerely,
Cecile

Dear Roxy,

It is now our three month anniversary and I am just starting to show some signs of new hair growth. It has been the longest three months ever!

My friends are calling the "Man Swan".

I look forward to my new look and will be visiting you in 3-4 months time. I plan on buying you and your team lunch.

Thanks again for being the awesome person that you are! You and Doctor E are bringing back my self confidence and a glass that is more than half full!

Soon, I will be able to put the top down on my sports car and go driving down the highway and not have everyone say "Hey look at the bald guy in the middle of midlife crisis"

Thanks again, Carol wanted me to tell you and Dr. E hello from her.

Best regards,

John M

Dr Epstein
Just to say thank you for the wonderful job you have done. I must commend on you and your crew for the friendliness , warmth and helpfulness as well as humour in all phases of the procedure. It surely had lightened every the atmosphere and make the procedure itself even enjoyable.

Please extend my regards to everybody

PS The transplants seems to do perfectly. There is no scab and only slight swelling on the sides of the head. Just wish I had more hairs to cover the crown !
Hello Dr E and Roxy!

I hope this email finds you both happy and in good health.

I had a very thorough haircut last Friday, where my barber buzzed the back
of my hair down to a number five in the donor area, and so significantly
shorter than the length I'd been wearing it. It actually looks great - not a
sign of any shockloss at that length, and
my barber told me he was being conservative - he could probably have taken
me down to a two or a three, but wanted to wait until next time (3-4 weeks)
to be absolutely sure of the recovery.

I'll try to post some images when I can, but I can promise you that Dr
Epstein's scar work is truly remarkable. My barber says he can barely see
any signs of my scarring from previous ops, let alone the latest with Dr E.
And running a comb through the number 5 length, you would truly not now
know that I had surgery only 16 weeks ago."

Dr E, Roxy, I'll try to send you some images of the donor area to continue
my "story" if you're interested, as soon as I can (working life is very
pressurised just at the moment). On the subject of the recipient area, I'm
starting to see growth on what will be the new hairline. I'm still using
Minoxidil twice a day as often as I can, plus
Finasteride of course.

Things are looking good at just under four months out, and
I'll send some images over asap.

Very best wishes to you both,

Neil

Jeff, Thanks again for the hair ! You and your staff are truely exceptional professonals. Your office has a wonderful spirit.

Dear Dr. Epstein,

I would like to express my gratitude for the procedure you performed on me. The courtesy that I was shown by your staff is greatly appreciated. I'm doing ok. It's day 5 post surgery. I took all the medications as indicated. In addition, I started propecia on day 2. I also used the rubber band for 3 days starting day 2. I feel good except that I'm a little worried about the original hairs within the recipient area, especially that they're cut very short and I can't really see if they're there. As for the grafts, I think they're good. I intend to start exercising again next monday. Please let me know if you have any special recommendations. Thank you again.

Yours Sincerely,

Taofic M.

Dr Epstein, Roxy & staff,

Thank you, thank you & thank you !!!!!! My experience at your office was superb. On Thursday as you know I had 2000+ grafts placed. The staff
treated took care of me with their undiveded attention. The procedure was
painless & 3 days later, you can hardly notice. I just have tiny pink scabs with "lots more hair". UNBELIEVABLE but true !!! If it looks this good 3 days
later, I can't wait to see what it will look like in 6 months. You have already
made a difference in my life & for that I can not thank you enough. My best
to all of you.

God bless you all,
Dr Gus

Roxy, Dr. Epstein -

Hi from Orlando .  Hope you are well.  This is Duncan Butts.  Tall, previous bald guy.  I just wanted to say hello.   I tried to forward to you about a week ago a July 2004 photo taken on a singles trip I took to Costa Rica .  In the photo, however, I have a drink in my hand and I didn't want you guys to think I'm a lush.  I recall that one of the previous photos I sent to you was taken in Key West with a Corona in my hand!  I will try to send you the photo from home this evening.

My hair is looking great.  In fact, a friend of mine in the building said someone remarked to her that I had good looking hair, and my friend said that she didn't think the person knew I had a follicular unit transplantation.  Pretty wild, eh?

Hope you guys are well.  Thanks!

Duncan .

Dear Dr. Epstein,

Your performed my hair transplant surgery in February of last year.
I have to tell you the results are great.  I appreciate everything you
and your staff have done.  The reason  I am sending this e-mail is
because at my initial consultation you recommended I use propecia.
Well, my prescription has expired.  I would not bother you with this
however, I have no reason to see my primary doctor now or in the
near future.  Can you please send me a new one?

Sincerely,
David

Hi Roxy,

It's been 10 days since my procedure and things are looking really good - so far I'm very very pleased.  I have many good things to say about Dr. Epstein and his fine staff and plan to write a letter of thanks along with final pics when everything is grown in.  But for right now, I do have a few questions that I was hoping Dr. Epstein or someone on your staff could answer for me.

I have followed all of Dr. Epsteins post procedure instructions and have no scabbing or crusts left.  However, none of the hair shafts have fallen out.  In fact, they seem to be growing - which is a nice surprise.   Given this, I was wondering if I should begin using monoxidil.  I have included a pic of my progress (see pic 1)

Also, I am curious if Dr. Epstein would consider me as a candidate for a second and final procedure.  Don't get me wrong - I think I will be very happy with the final result.  But I'm wondering if the hairline could be lowered slightly more and rounded down slightly at the sides(see pic 2).

Again, I am in no way being critical of Dr. Epstein's work - I'm extremely pleased.  I'm just curious to know what he thinks as I would consider a second procedure if he felt there was more that could be reasonably done.

Joe D

I know that as a patient, I am in the hands of the finest, most outstanding physician in your field anywhere, feelings shared by my son, and for this, both of us are grateful.

Suzanne

Dear Dr. Epstein:

It has been a great pleasure and privilege to know you and to have received your service and expertise, and the girls are wonderful and sweet and good at what they do too. I hope the final results will reflect just that.

Thank you again, Dr. Epstein.

Yours Truly,

Tong

Hi Roxy, I hope you are all doing well and that the ABC piece went well. Was Manhattan as you left it?  If it has not aired yet, will you let me know when it does? Chest doing well, and I am now a furry beast!  My freinds are totally astounded!

My best to you all

Jeff

Hi Roxy and Dr. Epstein:

I am back in Krakow, Poland - I feel great, everything is healing
properly so now the waiting process begins :) Thank you for making the
entire process very smooth and friendly. Turkey wraps never tasted so
good :)

best regards,
M

Hi Dr. Epstein!

Thanks for getting in touch with me!  I am doing great!  My boyfriend removed the sutures for me two nights ago.  All of the scabs have fallen off of my brows and the redness has subsided.  Slowly, the hairs are falling out.  Now I'm just waiting for time to reveal the marvels of your handiwork. =)  Thank you so much for everything!  I will keep you updated!

Sincerely,

Jessica

Hi Roxy!!  Can you see the HUGE smile on my face?!!  I'm so ecstatic I could cry and I can't stop looking at my brows!

I want to thank you, Dr. Epstein and his entire staff for everything you did.  From the moment I walked into the office I felt comfortable and I was totally confident that I had made the right decision.  Dr. Epstein and his staff are phenomenal at what they do.  And you, dear sweet lady, are right up there at the top of my list as the nicest, most wonderful person I've ever had the pleasure to know.  It takes a very special person to do what you do, Roxy, and I am blessed to have met you for you truly are an angel.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Please let everyone know how very thankful I am for what they did for me.  Words can't express my gratitude and I will never forget what wonderful people all of you are.

I'll stay in touch and I'll be sure to send pictures a few months down the road.  Thanks again!!

Oh, and yes.....if anyone ever asks for a reference you certainly may give them my e-mail address.  I want to shout out to the world what great people all of you are and what a phenomenal job Dr. Epstein and his staff did on my brows!!!

Anita

Dear Dr. Epstein,

Kindly be informed that I have decided to take my surtures off in Hong Kong.
Would like to thank you on a wonderful job on my 2nd hair transplant. Can't
wait to see the full results in about 8 months time. Will let you know by
then.

Take care,
LOUIE

Hi Everyone,

I'm just here at home going about things easily so I don't create any stress or other problems that may be bad for the grafts placed onto my face on my May 23 procedure. I'm keeping it cool and dry except for the routine GraftCyte spraying. Sorry I couldn't smile and show my appreciation much when I was done but my face felt somewhat numb and I was trying to not stretch it by talking much, etc. and risk ruining anything. I want to closely follow the recovery instructions. I hope that I at least left a good arriving impression if not departing impression. I got the suture removal kit- How strict should I be about waiting 10 days to get that taken care of?

Thanks a lot for everyone being so nice to me during the whole procedure. Of course it sure didn't hurt being mostly girls. I appreciate being escorted
outside and getting help with ideas on getting back to the hotel.

I am so glad that I finally found you all to help me with my problem after wishing and wondering if there was anything I could do for over fifteen years. I guess that the only thing that I didn't know before I got there was that newly grafted hairs could not be placed too close together or else they may not adhere correctly. But now I'm going to have hair where I'm supposed to. Even though I'm going to have hair on the front now, would it be okay if I thought of a future appointment to fill in a little more if I feel like it and can afford another visit? I understand that future procedures need to wait long enough to prevent any damage to previous grafts. I guess that's it for now.

Thanx,
Mike B

Hey Dr Epstein:

I had surgery with you five and a half weeks ago. And...my hair starting
growing several days ago in the crown area--WOOHOO!! I am wondering if you think that hair is from the surgery or from the Propecia and Rogaine. It
would be great to have the extra hair for the parts you didn't fill in!
Should I continue on the Rogaine??

Thanks! Ryan P

Dear Dr. Epstein,

Thank you for following up with me. I just got back to Las Vegas today from Ohio .  Everything seems to be going well.  The scar healed extremely well, almost completely unnoticeable

I really appreciate the special interest and individual attention I received from you and Roxy and all the others.  Each one of you really made me feel better about myself.  Thank you so much for fully explaining everything to me, my Mother, and God Mother.  I really feel I made the right decision.  I am excitedly waiting for my new hairs to grow in.  I will keep you posted on my progress and hope to see you in April.  Any advice I would greatly appreciate.  I wanted to ask you about Advodart, and if it would be an option for me?  Thank you so much, and have a great day.  Please tell everyone I said Hi!

Sincerely,

Jeff

Hi Roxy,

It has been 8 days since my 2nd hair transplant and the area is completely clean of scabs and crusts - everything looks great and I think I'm going to be really pleased with the final outcome.  I'm going to start using rogaine this week and I will email you final pics when everything is grown in.

I'm so happy that I found Dr. Epstein and all of you who work in his office.  The work you guys do is really impressive and from what I've seen - far superior to most.

I was wondering if you could email me the final count of my second hair transplant procedure - I believe it was somewhere around 2400 but I would like the info for my own personal knowledge.

Thanks Again,

Joe D

It certainly looks like your practice is going strong.  Now that I have a little more perspective, I must say that I really admire you for adhering to the highest standards and doing things the way you wanted and the right way

Also, I saw Paulette today for a haircut (she likes to see me because I am her only client that comes in for a regular hair cut!).  She sends her regards and asked me to thank you for your note.

Thanks very much, Ray

Dear Dr. Epstein, Roxy and the staff,   (warning: kinda long e-mail, take bathroom breaks if you need to)

I would like to express my sincere appreciation for providing such a FABULOUS TOP-NOTCH brow transplant surgery.  After the Valium and swelling went down, I was able to get a more accurate assessment of the implant when I looked into the lighted-up magnified mirror at home.  It revealed even more of your innate aesthetic and scientific capabilities.  Where art meets science: that's what makes a top-notch plastic surgeon.  But I knew this based on your overwhelmingly impressive background.  I contacted 5 other surgeons, even one in  Beverly Hills of all places, and I knew that I'd chosen the right one.  The 6th time's a charm in this case.  I remember checking your site half a year ago, and there was some mention of how you played the violin for years.  I can't seem to find it on the site now.  That drew me in even more as it shows the natural dexterity of your fingers to enhance the implantation.  Didn't hurt that you're easy on the eyes, too, haha.  A true Renaissance man just like my favorite artist, Leonardo da Vinci.

The staff was incredible.  Everyone was very sweet and professional, and I felt very welcomed.  The implanters did an excellent job, having my hand held relaxed me quite a bit, etc, etc.  I stayed quiet for the most part so everyone could concentrate, but I do realize that because you've all had so much experience on this, you can all do it in your sleep;o).  I joked with Roxy about coming back and getting a hotel (er, hostel) on South Beach for everyone over Christmas break. Or was I joking;-)?  Maybe after I finish school and pay back Uncle Sam, haha.

The procedure was painless for the most part.  When I had my brows tattooed on, that was some real pain that only a sadist would enjoy;o)  I looked like Groucho Marx on crack for days and the end result wasn't that much better.  However, after the implantation, on the plane ride back, I looked like a Golden Retriever (the puffy eyes) but puppy dogs are much cuter than Groucho Marx so I'll take that any day.  A couple days later, it looked like I had pretty golden yellow eye shadow on and now I'm completely normal, relatively speaking;o).  I admit, I was a bit shocked at first and being in the wrong state of mind, I thought my brow shape was going to stay crescent-moon shaped and not the shape I was going for.  I just didn't realize they were that puffy and that was causing it.  I apologize for that.  I think the Florida sun fried my brain a bit (but no sunburn, at least!), oh, and hunger.

You have all exceeded my expectations (and mine were high!) for meticulously implanting each and every brow hair in the most natural angle that only Mother Nature could achieve.  The hairs blend in perfectly as if my own genetic code had designed them for my particular facial structure. The only way I can really tell which ones are mine is based on the fact that I have to use hairspray to keep the real ones in place.  And the ones that were obviously not there in the first place.  Mainly at the base and at the tail.  Most of my real hairs are slightly thinner but one can only tell under the microscope.  But of course, brow hairs and head hair are different from one another in terms of thickness.  Well, mine are, at least.

I noticed that on the right brow, you had designed for a few to be placed above my brow line.  Not only did that add more symmetry to my face, but it opened up my eye area, adding a lift after tweezing a slight amount under the right brow.  I won't need botox for a few years, jk;o).  The brow hairs along the "tails" were a bit short, but now they've already grown enough to lay flat and natural (ie, don't stick out at a crazy angle that some other doctors tend to do).

With the implanted hairs, they stay in the right direction and I WAKE UP with these brows in place (given that I've slept on my back, of course).  No, wait...I now wake up with a full set of nicely shaped REAL eyebrows for the first time in my life!  A somewhat good analogy for what this means to me would be like having gone through life without an upper lip. Like a part of the facial bone structure is missing. It makes one realize that eyebrows are just as important as the eyes, the lips or the mouth.  Otherwise, a person looks blank and expressionless and asymmetrical.  Not the most attractive sight.

What amazes me the most is that this surgery occurred only a few days ago, and I'm already ecstatic with the results.  Not only with the physical results but the PSYCHOLOGICAL results as well.  And that's what it really comes down to.  (Ok, now I'm crying, lol...which happened yesterday, too...after the Valium, puffiness and initial shock wore off, I was able to get in touch with my feelings).

What these brows have added to my life is BALANCE.  Not having that anxiety and insecurity when talking to someone under the bright sunlight and them wondering why my brows are blue or partially missing.  Not spending 15+/- minutes JUST on my brows alone to make them as natural looking as possible.  Achieving the natural look is so high-maintenance, what an oxymoron, hehe.  I commented to Roxy that this procedure would change my life.  It may sound a tad bit dramatic, especially to someone who was born with full brows and takes it for granted or a person void of an aesthetically sensitive eye (or is that vanity? no, no!).  But yes, this has and will be life-altering as I gain the CONFIDENCE to welcome new adventures into my life.

Here in Oregon , we love our rock climbing and camping and other very outdoorsy activities.  I was always too self-conscious to engage in anything that would cause my brows to come off and would spend most of my time indoors (bar scene gettin way too old).  The blue eyebrows took a psychological toll more than I had realized.  I'm already visualizing all the things that I want to take up like scuba diving, surfing, just being SPONTANEOUS and living a more adventurous, outdoorsy and active life.  Although I must admit, not doing those things have caused me to focus more on the academic aspect of my life so that's one good thing I got out of it.  Ah, and less wrinkles.  Seven years down, 4 more to go.  But why not both?  Now I can get my studying in and dash right out the door to go swimming and throw that insecurity and vanity out the window.  Just throw on my mascara and powder and go!  No more 20-60 min routine!  Now it's under 5 minutes, if that, to put on my "face" for class.  Wow, you've helped me with my time-management skills, too and that's very important to a goal-oriented person who wants to look nice at the same time but doesn't want to spend too much time working on it.  Semi-permanent lash extensions might be next, but that's it.  I already spoke with a Seattle doctor about permanent ones, and he said it was a bad idea.  He's also the one who recommended you and Limmer.

Anyways, this e-mail is a bit long and you are a busy doctor with a busy staff (which is a very good indication, esp for business:o), and I feel like I'm writing in my diary.  But this is a great way to get my point across as to how I have been feeling since the procedure.  Any balding customers walking into my future pharmacy asking about Propecia or Rogaine, I would surely recommend you and your staff.  I'll recommend any browless friends of mine suffering from tacky porn star-esque eyebrow makeup.  Not only do they get a hair transplant surgeon but also a shrink at the same time who doesn't need to hand out the Paxil to alleviate the anxiety of having no hair;o).

Heck, I will do it on your incredibly thorough website!  I authorize you to use my eyebrow pics as long as my face isn't shown.  From right below my brows to my hairline is fair game.  Because a picture is worth a thousand words when it comes to plastic surgery, I really would like to show everyone the incredible end results.  The pics REALLY won me over and that's what it boils down to.  And if you would like to publish my letter, you are more than welcome to as long as it's my initials.  You can censor it, too (ie, take paragraphs out).  I tend to be a bit tongue-in-cheek at times so if there's anything off-color, I understand.  Happens when you grow up with 3 older brothers;o)

I have a webcam, but I'm not sure if it would show the brows all too clearly.  But in a few months, when the masterpiece is complete, I'll send you a picture.  I was thinking about coming back to S.Beach for Christmas break, but it looks like we all agreed on ringing in the New Year in Vegas.  Will follow up on that.  Well, I'll be back eventually and I'd love for everyone to see them in person and appreciate their hard work and what it's done for me.  Once again, THANK YOU from the bottom of my happy heart!  And like I had said in the operating room, "the world recommends you."  I now personally know that it is true, and the only thing I regret is not having met you and the staff much much sooner...like when I was in middle school;o)

Sincerely,

S

P.S.  Take a short break and smell the flowers (the ones I sent to ring in the Autumn season which is what we Oregonians actually have...ahhh, I want to go back to beautiful, WARM Miami as I am in a sweatshirt right now).  The last implanter asked about the tattoo remover I'm using: it's called Tat Be Gone and the ratings indicate that it works very well.

Dear Roxy,

Thank you for your email. I arrived home safely today.

I have a question regarding the Rogaine product; The info sheet says to use it once or twice a day starting on the tenth day and continue until the hairs are growing in at approx three months. However, on the box it says not to use the product if there is no family history of hair loss as it is in my case. Should I go ahead and use it anyway?...

I would also like to thank you all for your efforts, I am very grateful and really appreciate the time, patience and attention Dr.Epstein and all his staff put into my procedure. You have a great team of dedicated and caring people.

I will keep you informed of my progress and I will let you know if I have any questions or concerns. Thanks again Roxy it was a pleasure meeting you too.

Best Regards,

Barbara L.

Hey Jeff,
Just wanted to drop you a line and say hello!
I'm still planning on coming to see you again for one more treatment.
Love my hair, with rogaine, Propetia, and the Nioxin products the graphs have come in so nice, very thick now, and my crown area gets better all the time.

Looking forward to coming out there again, will be getting a hold of Roxy soon.

take care doc...
love,
Spence

Everything is fantastic, especially my hair. In fact, I was just in to visit the top dermatology group here in Jacksonville for a Restylane injection. The doctor was so impressed with your work (he saw before and after) that he was asking me for information on you if he decides to do a procedure.

Funny, I was internet surfing today and decided to stop by your web site to see what is new. I had not been there in ages. I will probably be coming down within six months. Cannot wait to show you the results and explore the possibility of another procedure.

Regards,
Bob

Jeff:

Thanks for the note. I hope all is well with you. I am extremely pleased with the results of my procedure. My only regret is that I did not have it done sooner.

Sincerely,
Jim

Hello Dr. Epstein, Roxy & Staff,

Just wanted to say thanks to your whole staff, they were a lot of fun and personable. Your staff reflects a great deal of your organization. From jammin to the Reggae to someone always making sure I was comfortable. It wasn't just one person it was the team, which was fantastic.

As far as how I am doing? Great I been trying to take it easy hit the gym Saturday and Sunday (only cardio) and I am in the office today. Really have had no problems or pain. Followed all of your recommendations and no need for any of the pain medicine.

Please send my thanks to your whole staff.

Cheers
Keith

Hi Dr. Epstein

Everything came out great. Now the only thing I worry about its the hair in the crown...hopefully we'll be able to do something with that in the future.

Thanks for everything

Brian

Thanks Dr. Epstein:

I was glancing through the Hair Transplant Coalition web site discussion
forum where you get rave reviews. Anyway, just had my hair cut and my
barber comparing this transplant to other clients he has told me you did a
great job, especially given the surgery was only three weeks ago.

Know your busy. Best Regards.

David G

I just got a ~2,400 hair transplant ("follicular unit micrograft") on December 19, 2005. This was my first surgical experience ever for anything. My experience could not have been better. The quality of service was outstanding - both from Dr. Jeffrey Epstein and his stellar staff. Though I live in Chicago , I decided on Dr. Epstein in Miami , and flew into Miami on Dec 18th the night before the procedure. My decision to go with Dr. Epstein was based on both the excellent reviews from past patients on this forum and very prompt email responses to my questions from Dr. Epstein and his staff. I was not disappointed. The facilities (at 6280 Sunset Drive, Miami ) are top notch and immaculately maintained. The service was excellent: I had a 7:00am appointment and I was attended to promptly - there were no "dead time" waiting delays and everyone was extremely courteous. Dr. Epstein advised me on the hair replacement strategy appropriate for my condition. The procedure went smoothly - though I was zoned out through most of it on my iPod (thanks to the Valium/Ambien combo). After the procedure, I spent the night in a nearby Marriott (where as Dr. Epstein's patient I received a special discounted room rate). There was absolutely no bleeding. I returned to the clinic the following morning for shampooing, and a final check-up by Dr. Epstein. By late afternoon Dec 20th, I was back in Chicago . It is now Dec 25th. No bleeding or pus to date and the healing is taking place rapidly. I will be back to work On January 2nd 2006 and I doubt that anyone will notice anything (I expect the bruises and scabs to be long gone).

Hi Jeff:

I wanted to let you know how I am doing since my procedure last November. My assistant took the sutures out (hopefully all of them!) on day 16 and the crusts certainly fell out much quicker than they did when Dr. S did my other procedures. We went to Portugal right after the operation and had a great time. It has now been 4 months and the new hairs are really coming in. The hair line looks terrific. I wanted to thank you and your professional team for an excellent job.

Anyway, have a good day, you deserve it.

Dr. E,

Thank you once again for the great experience at your office. It was comforting to be around such caring and professional individuals.

The scalp is healing nicely and I have not had any pain or bleeding since the surgery. I have a little swelling but, I am sure that is quite normal. I

can't wait to see the finished result!

Also, I wanted to thank you for the CD. I listened to it on my way back to

Jacksonville. Great music and you can still feel the Floyd experience through it.

Please tell your wonderful staff thank you for all of their care and patience. You really have some special people working for you.

Talk to you soon,

W M

Hi Roxy

I love my new eyebrows and hairline. Most all of the crusts have come off my brows ( day 6 ) and I have a lot of flakey skin hanging on which does not want to come off yet.  I can see the difference my new hairline is going to make already. Thanks again for everything. You and your staff were wonderful.  Dr. Epstein is a GENIUS and a BABE!!!  I'll send pictures when my hair starts coming in.

Carly

Hey Dr. Epstein,

I just wanted to write and say thanks again. everything looks perfect. the next morning after my procedure, i felt great, i had no pain or problems.  tell your staff, i said hi and they were great as well after its all grown in, ill send some pictures,

thanks again, randy

Hi Dr. Epstein-

I wanted to thank you for your wonderful eyebrow transplant that you did for me on Tues. April 25th.  It was great meeting you and your wonderful staff.  Everyone was so kind to me and my father.  We got home safely on Wed. night.  I did not go to work on Thursday or Friday and I looked pretty presentable by Saturday to go out in public.  I am so glad that I saw you on television on the Boston news station back in December 2005.  Thanks for giving me hope.  I feel as though a big weight has been lifted off of my shoulders now that I did this transplant.

Thanks so much.  Thanks for your patience in reading this email from one of your worst and most hyper patients.

Thanks-

B W

Hi Dr. Epstein-

I did rub off some remaining crusts and some hair came off with them, but the paper you gave said that was normal.  I think I have spent too much time staring at the eyebrows ... I want to thank you for your wonderful job on them.  I hope I have not worn out my welcome with you and your office staff by all my questions!

B W

Jeffrey

I have no problem with it being public at all- I tell most of my friends here about the procedure- I can't see the big deal why not. My hair is looking fantastic!! So there would be good comparisons I would be happy to send the photo to you first before release if you wish.

Thanks

Wayne

Eventhough I am still not sure if i want to get a hair restoration procedure, I think that doctor Jeffrey S Epstein is one of the best doctors out there. I have been doing research and whenever i feel that the time is right i will definitely consider him as my first option. I just watched the videos and his work seems to be impresive and I am happy that the doctor decided to help the little girl that had the burns in her scalp.
Thank you doc.

Hi Dr. Epstein,

Everything seems to be healing really nice since the procedure last Monday. I just had a quick question. I haven't noticed any of the transplanted hairs falling out yet. I know from the post-op instructions that they often do fall out, but I was just curious if they always fall out before they start to grow or is there a chance that some will stay and continue to grow.

No rush on the response, it was just a curiosity.

Thanks,

Thomas

Jeffrey,

All is well here. Transplant was a complete success, looks great!  I have owned 13 convertibles over the years, and now I can finally put the top down and ride without a hat!  Results were well worth the effort and expense. At the time of my procedure you indicated that you thought I had about 500 units left. I would consider thickening up - i s that small a number worth doing in terms of enhanced appearance or should I live happily ever after as is?

Walt

Hi guys.. Jason R.. just letting everyone know that all is well from procedure and Im healing extremely well.

Thanks Again.

Hi Dr. Epstenin,

fortunately seems that everthing is working just fine!!! This evening my wife is going to remove the stitches from behind, or if you have any other recomendation please let me know.
Regarding propecia the directions from the instructions are to take un pill daily, do you agree with this recomendation?
Say hi to all your wonderful staff,
Kind Regard,

Eduardo

Hello Dr. Epstein,

Meant to get back with you sooner but I've just been very busy.  I started seeing some activity back in March & would assume that by now everything that is going to grow has done so.  I think many of the grafts did take and overall the results are very good.

Attached are some recent photos that probably don't do justice to the results.  I recently trimmed them heavily, and I'm not sure I have the hang of that yet!  I usually touch up the sparse areas with a brow pencil (not done in photos), and gradually I'm getting accustomed to going without the mega-glasses!

Many thanks!

D H

Hi Dr. Epstein,

All is well and donor and recipient sites are getting itchy. Really
looking forward to removing the forehead tape tomorrow, swelling is
almost gone.

When it starts to grow in in a few months I'll send you a picture of
your work. I really appreciate you and your staff's dedication,
concern, and hospitality.

Regards,

Barry

Hi. My name is Ramania Barnes-McDonald and I live in Canton , GA. I was watching Geraldo At Large which aired on Wednesday, July 26, 2006. I was so impressed by the caring attitude that Dr. Epstein displayed while working with Madea. I was really touched. I even told my co-workers about Madea's story and Dr. Epstein the next day. Keep up the good work Dr. Epstein and staff! Your work is not going unnoticed and I know that you are constantly changing lives of many........... Have a wonderful day!

I live in Manchester England , UK . I needed reparative surgery having subjected myself to at least four procedures in the UK which had left me with an unnatural looking hairline and severe scarring in the donor area.

I chose Miami as my destination because my perception from the UK is that it is a "center of excellence" for plastic surgery.

I chose Dr Epstein as my surgeon for four key reasons:

1. His profile in the USA with various magazine articles, TV appearances etc.

2. His surgical reputation on hair transplant discussioin forums.

3. His testimonials on his website and his willingness to provide references from his patients.

4. His direct consultations with me as a prospective patient and his patience with questions and concerns.

After the procedure on the Friday I spent Saturday and most of Sunday sight-seeing in Miami based on Dr E's recommendations.

All in all the trip was a great sucess - so miuch so that I have brought my family here for a three week tour of Florida and I will be calling in to Dr Jeff's surgery on the 22nd of the month.

Best regards,

Neil

Jeff:

You're my hero too.  2 years after my transplant I am loving the result.  I wish you continued  much deserved success.

Hi Roxy!

It's Dahlia. I don't know if you remember me, but I saw Dr. Epstein in April for my eyebrows.

I wanted you and him to know that I am very pleased with the job he did.

You guys were all really fabulous.

Thanks, Roxy!

I hope all is well with you!
Dahlia

Hello again!

I went to Dr. Adler's on Thursday to have the stitches removed.

Most of the crusting is gone, I'm letting it fall off naturally, I just stand under the shower and let the water and Selsun Blue do its thing.

The lotion you prescribed works great it relieves the itching -- Thanks!

I still feel like a bald guy but it dawned on me recently that I'm not, thanks to you guys, and I no longer have to worry about my hairloss or feeling ashamed.

I do wish recovery and results were quicker.  I'm already beginning to feel different, optimistic, hopeful --- amazing what a few of my own folicule units can do when effectively relocated.

You guys are the best.

DLR
(Formerly just another bald guy!)

Just a short note to say we have arrived home in London safe and sound.

Also could you say a big thank you to all the girls who were present during my operation. I will send you some photos for your records when nature has done its work!

Take Care and Regards
Trevor and Dad.

Dear Dr. Epstein:

Just a quick note to thank you for the great job you did last Friday.   I am very glad and happy that I finally choose you as my Doctor and you may rest assured that for future procedures I will consider no one else in the matter.   I'm not sure if I have sufficient donor areas left, but if I do, you may rest assured that you will be the person conducting my second procedure, unless the Propecia creates a miracle on my crown!!!

Thank you so much for everything and please extend my thanks to your team who did a great job from start to finish.   I am very happy and satisfied with the procedure and have no doubts whatsoever in recommending you and your team to anyone who may want to undergo the operation.

Very truly yours,
Felix

I am 20 years old, a junior in college, and since I was 2 ½ I had large scar that ran through my left eyebrow, which was quite noticeable. I had a scar revision done on the area a couple months back to make the scar smaller, but I was unhappy with the results and more self-conscious of the way I looked than before. A lot of my close friends and family members told me not to worry about this facial flaw, that every human being has at least one. That is true, but if there were a solution to such an uncomfortable feature, wouldn?t it be worth a try?

My answer was yes, and it came in the form of Dr. Epstein. After researching ?eyebrow scars? I learned about his procedure which would transplant hair from the back of my head into my eyebrow to reconstruct it. Being very self-conscious of my scar, I decided to invest the time and money into having the procedure done. I firmly stand behind my choice as ?the BEST decision I have ever made.? In less than 2 hours, I regained confidence I never had in myself. Its funny how sometimes the smallest things can affect you so greatly, especially if you?re young. I could have lived with my scar like actors Luke Perry, and comedian Dane Cook (Both of which have similar eyebrow scars), but I chose to have Dr. Epstein ?improve? upon it. The choice I made was worth it a hundred times over. It has been a day since the procedure and I only have slight discomfort in the donor area where the hair was take from. I know that the newly transplanted hair will shed out of my eyebrow before it grows back, but if right now is any indicator of how my eyebrow will look in 2-3 months; I am going to be even happier.

For all those considering hair transplantation, be it to the eyebrow, the top of the head, your body, etc, make the right choice and chose Dr. Epstein as your surgeon. His entire staff is warm and friendly, and the entire procedure was smooth, quick, accurate, and painless. Dr. Epstein, you are truly an artist. Thank you for invigorating my life and restoring my confidence. I am now going to embrace my 20s and the rest of my life without this flaw, all thanks to you. You have given me my life back. God Bless you.

- Tom

Hi Jeff:

Just an update.  My hair is all grown in and looks healthy and great.  I will probably want one more ?fill-in? treatment in 2-5 years (?) after my genetically determined bald pattern finalizes or ?settles? down.  I still have thick, terrific donor hair on the back of my head.  It is fairly wavy.  Since the transplant, this wavy hair if now ?waving? at the front.  I have been taking Proscar for 4-5 years and I?d like to stop it and let nature take its course as I don?t really like taking pills.  What do you think?

Paul D, M.D.

Dear Dr. Epstein

I love what I see and think you did an awesome job. Thank you so much. In the future, if I should lose more hair, do I have enough donor hair aready having used some?

You are posted everywhere on the web as the best in what you do. Thanks again.

Sincerey, PJ

Dear Doctor Epstein,

Just a few words to say the biggest thank you - to you, Roxy and all your lovely staff!

It has been over a week now since I had the procedure and I am very happy with everything - the initial consultation, the transplant, the care and the after-care I have received to-date. The girls in the office are so helpful and friendly - you all made me feel very comfortable.

I am so happy with the result so far but I know I have a little while yet to wait to see the hair grow. Both the donor and recipient sites are healing very well; my scalp is now clean pale pink with these cute little hairs sticking out. I know they will go soon but I guess this is part and parcel of getting the hair growing. The scar is not bothering me at all, I guess I have got used to the sensation; now I am waiting for the stitches to come out (end of this week). The area at the back of the head is still a little sensitive but not much. Overall - thumbs up! I only wish I had come for the procedure much earlier.

Thank you once again and the best wishes to you. I will stay in touch and advise you of my progress.

Warm regards from one happy customer,

Monica

Everything is great Roxy. My second procedure  filled in alot and is just recently started to really thicken in. My recovery was very smoth. Definitely wouldn't mind talking to somebody. You guys are the best.

Dr. Epstein:

Just to give you an update: Most of the transplants have now started to grow although there are a couple of spots where the hair is thin. But the other hairs were thin at the beginning too, so I'm expecting normal growth within the next 15 to 30 days. Overall I'm extremely happy about the entire process, I appreciate the effort that you and your team put to make me comfortable with the whole process. Thank you very much once again.

D

Hi Dr. Epstein,

Just wanted to first thank you and your staff for providing top notch care during my procedure. I am feeling great right about now and am looking forward to future hair growth.

Much of the hairs are still in place and have grown, what a pleasure it is to touch all those little transplanted babies! As recommended I have begun using Rogaine (foam) with no side effects, so I plan to continue as outlined.

Other than that, all is well and I will keep you posted on my progress.

Again, please do thank your staff for all their support as they truly went above and beyond. I will email Roxy to let her know as well.

Jose

Dr. Epstein,

Just wanted to give you an update. It has been approx. 8mths since my procedure.  As far as my scar goes.... it looks great! I can barely detect a scar at all. I only had a few minor ingrown hairs but, no discomfort at all. Right now, I have a group of friends that are watching my hair closely and they all want to have the same procedure as myself depending on my final results.

Depending on my outcome, I would really like to come in for another session to add more density even though you said you packed it in really tight, I just cant see how it will get much denser unless the hairs grow in even more and fuller. I will send you some pictures as soon as I can. Thank you again for your help!

 Sincerely,

 WM

Hi Doc Epstein,

Hope you have received the message that I left with the inn before I left as my cellphone was out of batt. Just wana let you know how much I appreciate your care, thoughtfulness and encouragement that you have rendered that night when the donor area was bleeding. As you have promised, it stopped bleeding in the morning before I left for the airport. You were very patient with me and made me feel warmth while I was all alone far from home.

Thanks for the wonderful transplants that you have done for me though I have a couple of months to wait to see excellent results from you. You were very professional and humorous in keeping me at ease throughout the surgery. I am very touched indeed.

Thanks for sending me back to the inn that night inspite of your busy schedule, you were all ready to help me feel comfortable. Thank you very very much.

Hope you can set up a centre for hairloss in South East Asia in the near future and I will be most willing to render my service for you if you need me.
