It has been 1year since Dr. Epstein completed my 2nd hair transplant. I must tell you how happy I am with the results. I can't believe how full and natural myhair looks. In fact, my dermatologist commented on how "beautiful" a job Dr. Epstein did and how nice my hairline looks. I am very very pleased and wanted to convey this to Dr. Epstein. I am including a picture so everyone at your office can see the results of their fine work.

I am so pleased with the results that I have been considering a 3rd and final (this time I really mean it) procedure. I would consider this if Dr. Epstein feels he could resonably lower my hairline by about 1 cm. If that were possible it would be perfect. However, if this is not feasible, I still want you all to know how satisfied I am with Dr. Epstein's work. After having researched many hair transplant surgeons and seeing their results first hand, I believe that Dr. Epstein and his staff do the very finest work.

Do you provide barbers/hair salons with business cards? Whenever I go to the hair salon, I like to freak them out after they've been cutting on my hair for awhile and tell them, "You know, I used to be bald." They are always stunned and can't believe it. The person cutting my hair last time even tried to find a scar in the back, but couldn't find it! I always give them information regarding my doctor, but I wondered whether business cards with directions to your webpage that they could keep in their top drawer would be useful. Maybe not, but thought I would throw it out there. By the way, you sent me a guy who asked me for a reference, and of course I told him that you were the best and that he absolutely should have the procedure. I also invited him to call me on the phone, but he didn't. I hope he became a client. My hair is looking absolutely fantastic. In fact, I tried highlighting it the other day just for fun. Can you imagine?

Highlighting? What a trip, eh? In fact, just now, one of my co-workers accused our secretary of allowing me to become a "long-haired hippy freak." What a compliment to you for sure! I think the Propecia also is working. Sometimes when I'm walking from bar to bar here in Winter Park, I think how lucky I was to have found you. I want to be sure that you know that your patients think of you from time to time and wish good things for you because your artistry has absolutely changed our lives and self-image.

Hi, Dr Jeff, Thanks for the email. Everything is fine and seems to be healing very well. I went back to England to go to that park I was telling you about but the weather was so bad we decided to get last minute flights to Egypt instead. Had a great time and did not over expose to the sun. Just wanted to take this chance to tell you how pleased I am with the treatments and service you provided. I think the beard is going to look really good. I am pleased with the eyebrows although I have a feeling that there may be a few spots that I would like touching up a bit. I suppose it hard to tell until its fully regrown. The work that was done on the nose is also very impressive and I am very happy with the result.

I am going to wait for three months and see how all the hair regrows.

Overall I am very happy with the service you have provided. Your staff are all very nice people and I felt comfortable and relaxed throughout my stay.

Dr Epstein:

My first note to you was one month after the procedure, on 30 October. I wanted to do this second note after exactly 2 more months had passed; sorry that I missed this a bit with the holidays. Here are the results by region:

I need to make an overall observation. I look down at the hairs on my chest, and - if I didn't know it intellectually - I wouldn't believe that these hairs were anything but natural. The pattern is perfect; they appear to grow from fotally normal skin. I appear to have a totally natural - and wonderful - hairy chest! It's just so Great!

(I've now got more hair down there than my dad and am finally giving my brother a run for his money. My brother's hair is about the same density as mine but thicker and grows upward in the area just below the neck, making it more visible there. His hair appears to be about 1-2" in length. I've let my hair grow a bit longer in that region and groom it upward to achieve a similar result. In fact, with this technique I've finally gotten a better "open-shirt" hairy chest than my brother! Let's hear it for Sibling Rivalry!)

There are no words to thank you enough, Dr. Epstein.

And when the new growth comes in, it can only get better!

My procedure with Dr E was a very positive experience all round. The surgical team and office staff are all very professional and friendly - you'll be given a warm welcome and treated very well on the day. The procedure itself was quite a long one - I had 2000 grafts and a scar repair to correct the results of previous UK surgery many year ago - so I was in the chair for over 5 hours. However I didn't suffer any great discomfort during that time, and Dr E and the team were very supportive.

Unlike my surgery in the UK I didn't suffer from any noticeable post op swelling, nor any shock loss in the recipient area. I did suffer some residual shock loss in the scar repair area, but this recovered within four months and was easily disguised by a slightly longer hair style at the back during that period.

I was very pleased with the results, both in the short and longer term.

Short term I was celebrating Christmas in public just a week after the operation, with no noticeable effects from the surgery. Longer term I started seeing the benefits of the new hair growth within 4 months, and after around 17 weeks I was able to have my hair cut to a number 2 at the front and 4/5 at the back, and look perfectly normal.

You've made a very sound choice with your surgeon, Chris, and I have every confidence you'll have a good experience and see a very pleasing outcome.

The best advice I can give you is to go with a positive outlook and make sure you follow all the instructions for care of your transplant pre and post op.

There are some good threads concerning Dr Jeff, which include some pre and post op photos of my case, on the Hair Restoration Discussion Forum. Plus, you might still be able to read "Neil's Story" which I agreed to publish on Dr Jeff's website Foundhair.com, as a UK testimonial to his work.

Thanks for checking in. I'm doing very well. I recovered much faster this time. I've had no numbness on the top of my head at all. The scabs are all gone and the incision only rarely gets a little sore. And in fact, when I went back to work the Friday after the surgery, I was sent down to Florida for the tornadoes and was able to work some marathon days, on camera, with no problem. You're amazing.

This is Chris H, patient from March 12. Just over 3 months and starting to see some growth! I have to say, this part is fun as it seems like a little more and more each day. Most of the new hairs are dark and you can for sure tell which ones were grafts that never fell out. Just amazing to see stuff starting to happen even at this early stage!

I just wanted to let you know I had my stitches out today. My stylist has removed a lot of stitches from his clients over the years that have had hair transplants. He told me he had never seen a cleaner suture line with no evidence of a scar from the donor area than mine and never seen a more beautiful artistic hairline than mine. He thinks it is going to turn out fantastic.

I made it home safely. I drove straight through, eating in the car and only stopped twice for gasoline. It took me 12-1/2 hours - much better than the 14 I had planned.

Please send me a list of all the people in your office who worked with me on my procedure (and those who didn't too). If its not too much of a problem, tell me what they did (washed my hair, microscope, billing, whatever). As I mentioned, I want to send everybody something from Santa. I know its not required, but too often people never get recognized for the hard work they do. It won't be expensive, but hopefully the gesture is worth more than the gift.

Once again, thank you for all your help. Dr. Epstein couldn't have chosen a better office manager anywhere in the world. You're the greatest. And, please pass along another special thanks to Dr. Epstein. Tell him that my hopes are that maybe one day I'll be as good of a Santa to others as he has been to me. The transplants were so poorly done, and obvious; trying to hide them was a major concern. No more. Of course, like everything else, you eventually want more. Still satisfied, of course, but I'd like to take it a step further.

Yes, I went to his office in San Francisco, and one of the MDs on staff removed the stitches. Everyone there gave me the Royal treatment. I didn't meet Dr. Mass, but you can tell him that I was very impressed with his staff. So much so, that I trusted them to do a botox treatment on me and I'm very satisfied.

I'm trying to be patient about the hair growth process. I know it's supposed to take around two and a half months beforehair starts growing, but I keephoping that I'll be an exception and it will come in a lot faster. I can dream can't I. It seems like there's some growth in the crown area, but I assume it's due to the minoxidil.

I will be posting my comments on my very positive procedural experienceYour staff was outstanding. Professional but not stuffy. They made me feel very comfortable and even laughed at my jokes. Youwere everything a patient could ask for in a doctor: exceptionally competent, concerned, approachable, intelligent, and a great sense of humor. Who could ask for more in a physician. Just checking in 6 days post op. The site looks good. No swelling or signs of infection. I washed the area for the first time this morning with baby shampoo and it cleaned up well. I've been down this road before and I know not to have any expectations due to significant scarring, but I was impressed with Dr. Epstein and his staff and their optimism for a good outcome was appreciated.

All good so far. Fun and games with delays on flights etc and finally had our luggage delivered late last night!

All your staff were great and forgive me, I cannot remember names but especially liked the honduran girl who greated us and helped as well as the petite girl who saw us out. They were very nice with good energies etc and please tell them to drop me a line if they so wish or just find me on facebooketc.

I did feel pretty exhausted afterwards although felt better after a few painkillers. I will keep you informed and if there is any other advice you can give then it will be gratefully recieved.

Thank you for a great experience last week! Everything was really smooth and you really know what you are doing! My wife commented that, just looking at the newly grafted hairs, you would never know that they had put there surgically. Absolutely amazing! You are not just gifted surgically, you also have an artist's eye.

This may be of interest to you. Here it is day nine, the scabs are gone but most of the hair is staying. In fact it appears to be growing. I thought that it would all fall out. Is this unusual?

Hey Dr. E. Hope things are going well with you. As for me, I am very happy with the growth I have received from this procedure! I am attaching pics here for you to review. As for the growth, I have truly taken a step back about 10 years in terms of the look of my hairline. Many comments and I really feel good about it. I am estatic! I new with a little over 200 grafts I would not have thick bushy hair. But it is certainly as thick as it was 10 years ago. So I am very happy with that part.

Things are going well. I am took all of my antibiotics, and things appear to be going well. I'm kind of shocked. The hair hasn't fallen out that was transplanted. It seems like some of the hairs are growing. Is that normal? I appreciate everything. It looks fantastic!

I was at your Miami office last October for new brows. I was completely thrilled with them once they grew in this Spring. Please tell Dr. Epstein for me that they are beautiful and I feel so happy with them!

I was wondering if I could get a quote to fill in a few patches?

There are two places on each inside corner and one almost to the middle of my left brow (the right if you are facing me).

If not, they still look great, the picture doesn't show how nice they really look. It would just be quicker and easier to put on the make- up and be easier to go natural with the patches filled in.

Just returned from my stint on the Navajo Reservation working as a locum tenens - overall a fantastic lifetime experience but it's sure great to finally make it home for the first time since March. Thought I'd give you an update as well as pose a few questions. Overall the results of the beard transplant have been excellent. Went dormant for about three months before sprouting out earlier this month. Virtually 100% recovery. Keep close-shaved for the most part occasionally letting it grow on weekends. My question is this: I would like to add some more overall density. If possible, what's your schedule looking like? Hope all is well and be sure to say hi to the rest of the staff.

I wanted to say hi and let you know how things were going. Hard to believe it has been a week that I had the procedure. All the swelling that was on my forehead has resolved. Tomorrow I get to try and rub the scabs away but the regular hairwash in the shower this weekend went great. I just wanted to report that things are going great. made a friday afternoon flight with no problem. i am wearing the headband and taking the extra k-flex, but have encountered no noticeable swelling. everything feels great. of course it is too early to tell, but if the results here are as good as the professionalism, friendliness, and relative painlessness i have experienced in last few days, i will be very satisfied. you guys have been great!

Just wanted to let you know that things are going well. The donor wound site has healed beautifully. I am using the rogaine once daily. Anyway , I am optimistic, so we will seee what happens in April.

Thanks for your email. Yes, I got back just fine. Tomorrow is the 10th day post surgery and I am planning to get the sutures out tomorrow. The donor site seems to have healed fine. I will write and let you know if there is any problem.

Thanks for the info on the graft count. The scabs have just come off in the last couple of days and all seems well. I appreciate your concern and I will stay in touch with my progress. Hi! My eyebrows are falling out and growing back. I am using a bit of Maybelline but it only takes me 32 seconds instead of 5 minutes. Life is good in the eyebrow department. I will send a photo soon. Tons of love and hugs to you all!

Sorry it has taken so long to check in; working very long hours since my return home. I think everything is going according to plan. Absolutely no scarring, healed nicely including donor area. Hair fell out as you said by about 10 days, and is now just starting to grow in here and there. Am also starting to see 5 o'clock shadow on chest. Been talking with Pete and he tells me to be patient, his took about three months. It's nice to have him to talk to. Thank you all so much, please tell the Dr. I said hey, and he's an amazing man. Hugs and kisses to you for being who you are, even our first meeting, I felt like you are a dear old friend. Big hug too to Lena for being a major sweetheart. Leaves on maples starting to turn, nights in the 40's already picking apples soon! Will see you all soon for more grafts (year or so).

Seems to be that everything is going very well!!! Today I started to remove gently the crusts but I still wearing the bandana because I don't want nobody here in my office to notice the procedure.

Sometimes I feel a little bit of pain in the stitches, but with 2 pills of Aleve I feel much better.

I have been saying a special prayer for all of you at Dr. Epstein's office and hope that you are all OK and survived the hurricane.

We Californian's have to put up with earthquakes, however they don't happen as often but we don't know when they are coming either!

I just read some of the testimonials on the web site. It is so great to read about happy patients. I read Gary 's story and remember the same thing during my visit, that all of you stayed very late that evening and no one would ever have thought it was after hours the way everyone was still working (sounds like common practice there!).

Thanks for checking in. You have been on my mind consistently for the last year (almost every time I see a mirror).

I'm not really sure that I have the words to thank you for how you have improved my life. I only hope that when you think about what you do, you realize the gift you are giving people. I'm sure that you have days when you are tired or annoyed with an unreasonable cus tom er, just like everyone else. But I hope you know the gratitude that is felt by what I'm sure is 99% or more of your patients.

It's remarkable how much confidence I've gained from the procedure. I truly feel like you made me look 10-15 years younger. When I tell people my age, no one believes me. Recently, at my high school reunion (20 years), a countless number of people told me that they couldn't believe I didn't age a day. With each comment, I laughed a little inside and thought about the magical gift you gave me.

When you have prospective patients call me, my number one comment is, "stop stressing out about it, just go do it." I can't believe how much agony I went through in making the decision, the fear I had that I could somehow be horribly disfigured, and the contrast between those thoughts and the end result. I've told them all, that after the decision to marry my wife, going to see you was the smartest single decision I made in my entire life. And I truly mean that.

I hope to thank you and your staff again in person in the very near future. I've almost pushed my brother-in-law Richard motivated enough to come see you and have the procedure. I plan to shake your hand and give a big hug to Roxy early next year when I accompany Rich to Florida for HIS life changing event. Thanks so much for your work and this gift.

I would like to help Dr. Epstein (and his staff by the same token) in any way I can because my conviction is that he has truly changed my life and I would like him to be rewarded for that. I can wear my hair any way I want to now and a bad hair day does not give me any discomfort anymore. I don't try to hide my forehead anymore and I feel gorgeous. It is my opinion that Dr. Epstein deserves endless credit for that and please tell him to feel free to contact me anytime to talk to his patients. I will always be there for him in that way.

I am sure that thousands of women out there feel their forehead is too large and I believe they should all save their money and come to Dr. Epstein. Everyone at work and all my friends cannot figure out what is different about my appearance now that my hair is growing out. I've told them I've switched hair stylists. Last weekend, my mom pulled me aside and told me I should stick with this hair stylist.

The cruise was great and worked out really well after having my procedure in Miami. I only wore a hat in the sun and the crusts came off as planned and quite easily.
