OFFICE LOCATIONS
The Foundation for Hair Restoration surgeons maintain offices in select cities throughout the country. Currently the Foundation maintains offices in the following cities: Miami, Boca Raton, Tampa, Jacksonville and NYC. Our Miami location contains a surgical suite fully accredited by the Florida Board of Medicine. While this accreditation is not required to perform hair transplant procedures, it reflects the Foundation's commitment to the highest safety and comfort standards. Similar accreditation in other states is provided. Consultations as well as surgeries are performed in the Foundation's various locations throughout the country. To make the procedure as hassle free as possible, personal car service is arranged for all patients upon request.
CONSULTATIONS
Nothing can take the place of a face to face consultation with the doctor. However, in cases of patients traveling from out of town, it is not uncommon to perform the initial consultations electronically and/or by phone. Patients may submit electronically or by mail photographs of themselves, and through phone conversation, anticipated procedures can be discussed.
There is no charge for consultations.
CHOICES ANESTHESIA
Most hair transplant procedures are performed with the patient receiving a mild sedative such as Valium, in addition to the local anesthesia. Dr. Epstein and the other Foundation doctors use the Wand, a computer controlled device for painlessly injecting the anesthesia. For the occasional patient who desires a deeper level of anesthesia, twilight intravenous anesthesia can be provided. The type of anesthesia will be decided upon in consultation with the doctor.
FEES
In keeping with established policies by the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, all fees for plastic surgery procedures are payable in advance. In cases where insurance is applicable, the office can assist with claims submission, and assignment of benefits may require only a deposit. The Foundation for Hair Restoration also can set up patients with a financial plan offered through several lending institutions geared to elective surgical procedures.
OFFICE HOURS
Our offices are generally open from 9am to 5pm Monday through Friday, certain exceptions apply for various locations. Late hours are provided on several days of the week. Visits are by appointment only, so be sure to call or email us first to schedule your appointment for the particular location you wish to be seen.
