Dr. Galitz entered private practice in Aventura in 1986 and has continued his practice at this same location for the past twenty four years.
Dr. Galitz is a Fellow of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, a Fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery, and a Fellow of the prestigious American College of Surgeons. He also maintains memberships in local, state and national societies.
Dr. Galitz was the President of the Florida Society of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery for 2001-2002, and the President of the Dade County Head and Neck Society. He is a guest lecturer and panelist for the Education Foundation of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
In addition to maintaining his active private practice, Dr. Galitz also offers his expertise to medical students as Assistant Professor of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Miami School of Medicine, Department of Head and Neck Surgery. Dr. Galitz is the recipient of numerous awards and the author of many publications.
Dr. Galitz has a graduate degree in sculpture and painting from the University of Maryland and is an active artist. Having spent years in art school and continuing to work in drawing and sculpture, Dr. Galitz maintains an artistic eye and a sensitivity to aesthetics applied to all his facial plastic procedures. Much of the artwork in the patient waiting area is by Dr. Galitz. A native of Miami, Dr. Galitz is married and the father of three beautiful daughters.
