Will I leave knowing what the total cost and expected outcome will be? Will I be informed of what future hair loss I can expect due to my loss of hair now, and family history? Will the doctor see me, or just a sales person? Should I decide to have a procedure, how soon might I be able to get one?
Yes, I do see patients on just about every Friday, but in my Miami office. I am only in my Boca Raton office every 3 months or so, but all post procedure care is provided through that office. With your consult, you will meet with me, to discuss your goals and for me to evaluate your situation and make recommendations- with all fees presented to you.
You can also email some photos for me to evaluate.
We have talked about the amount of hair to be transplanted. Dr. Epstein drew on the photograph and I discussed it with Aaron. Basically we seem to be talking about ‘filling in the corners’ and increasing density at the front but not bringing forward the hairline at the front - how do we specifically agree on the exact work? Do we think it will be 2400 grafts or less? If the payment is upfront, what happens if there are more or less grafts?
Answer:
We can decide this on the morning of your procedure. If I feel fewer grafts are likely needed, then the cost of these grafts will of course be refunded to you.
I would like to know a rough estimate for a transplant procedure done on the crown of a stage 2 or 3. My donor area is thick with heavy groupings of 3's and 4's.I recently went to a hair club facility and was not impressed with how they try to push topical treatments at you for what I feel is an unreasonable amount of money. I would rather get a transplant and know there will be a definate result in the appearance of my hair. I am 26 years old. Thank you for your time
Answer:
An important consideration for you to consider is that, as a 26 year old, you are only going to continue losing more and more hair in the crown region, which will therefore require more and more work to keep up with it. I do recommend Propecia, as it has a 70% chance of slowing down or stopping altogether the progression of hair loss in the crown, but this must be taken every day or every other day until a better medication becomes available.
I suggest you email some photos for me to evaluate.
